Samsung galaxy s2

Got my galaxy s2 yesterday!!!

So far loving it..  been using it quite extensively, at work and at home  so far I it seems very, responsive.  much better than the slowness of the torch.. Though I must admit ever since I got the new 600 firmware for the torch its been running better..

Anyway..the disappointment with the galaxy s2 is that it came with 2.3.3 instead of 2.3.4…
but in the end it doesn’t matter since I’ll be rooting it with custom firmware anyways.

I haven’t had a chance to usemost of the cool android features yet but I’ll make another post about it..

Roger’s keeps free tethering for customers.

So it seems this promotional free tethering is no longer a promotion anymore. I received a text message earlier today notifying my that Rogers opt to provide customers with data plans of 1GBs and up to continue using the tethering features free of charge.

Rogers first officially offered free tethering to customers when the iPhone 3gs came out along with the iPhone OS 3.0 but was said to only last till the end of the year as it monitored it’s strain on their 3g network. This offer was offered for people with dataplans 1GB or higher. Closing to December 31st, Rogers decided to extend it’s promotion to May 3rd, 2010. Now its officially available as part of the data plan. More information can be found on Roger’s website.
