Danielmak.net working agian.

I had no idea that my other domain danielmak.net was not point at the right place this entire time.

I have moved away from MXHub web hosting solutions simply because the plan they were offering had too little space for the price I was paying. I’ve read a lot of reviews on Hostgator and they all seem to be good review so I decided to move my site over. Since it offers “Unlimited” Storage, I don’t have to worry about running out of storage.

I also switched domain provider for the .net which was from reghub. The register mxhub uses for their domain over. I had did all the necessary steps for the domain to point to the new DNS site but I forgot to add the domain in cpanel.. =p

All has been fixed and is now working again! ^_^

Anime North 2012

It’s almost that time again for Anime North and I have still yet to decide if I want to dress up this year and if so what to dress up as for the convention. Maybe I’ll just go and take pictures again like I did last year. Hopefully this year I will find something at the Dealer’s section to buy. I’ve been telling myself I should at least buy something from there since the last 4 times I went there I walked out empty handed. LOL
Hopefully the weather will be nice this year. Warm, sunny day would be great. Least year was kind of chilly and it rained a bit. Booked a hotel room to stay for the weekend at the marriott hotel. Reserved 2 rooms just in case more people were coming but it looks like this year will only be 4 people going thus I should probably cancel one of the rooms soon so I don’t have to pay extra for it. 200 dollars a night per room adds up quickly.

My HP Touchpad aint so useless afterall…

So lately I’ve been using my HP Touchpad more and more. I bought the touchpad back when my work got some stock and was selling it exclusively to us the employees at the firesale price of 99.99. We only had limited quantity per store so basically it was a draw to see who can buy one. Obviously, I won :)

Anyway, it was running WebOS 3.2 but it was very limited in the amount of apps it add. The HP app store didn’t have a wide selection of apps that were worth buying.

A couple weeks ago I learned that they released Ice Cream Sandwich for the Touchpad. Ice Cream Sandwich is also known as Android 4.0 released by Google and ported over to the HP Touchpad by the talented folks at Cyaogenmod. They had released Cyaogenmod 7. Gingerbread based OS to the touchpad already but since it’s not optimized for tablets, I didn’t bother. ICS is more optimized for tablet being the successor of Honeycomb.

Now I’m running my HP Touchpad with CM9 Alpha 2 and with Hardware accelerated video I can finally use emit to stream videos on the 10″ tablet. It is not useful again :)
