Some Computer stuff

I got 3 computer stuff yesterday @ CanadaComputers

1.) Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeMusic 24BIT $136 regular price with a $38 Instant Savings then a $44 mail In rebate. $54 After Rebate :D

2.) Thermaltake side panel upgrade for Thermaltake Armor Series with 25cm fan

3.) Logitech QuickCam Orbit MP :D

The SoundCard had issues yesterday, but I think I found out why, it appears winDVD is responsible for the computer to BSOD, so i uninstalled it and now using PowerDVD which seems to work fine without it BlueScreen.. so winDVD + X-Fi might not be a good combination.. :)

The Thermaltake Side Panel upgrade came with a 250mm fan (25cm) its HUGE! it spins @ 600rpm and its extremely quiet, thats the good thing about big computer case fans.. large fan + low speed = low noise and high performance :)

Last but not least. the Web Cam.. it costs quite alot, but its good. comes with an optional stand to make the web cam taller, has motion sensor and can tract your movement (you’ll need good lighting for that to work) as well as fancy Special FXs you can add to your video.. :) its a great web camera.. ^_^

Wal-Mart keeps Samtack alive! lol

So Saturday was suppose to be my regular routine, Wake up in the morning and watching the Stargate episodes I download the day before, This Saturday was different.  I HAD TO WORK, rush order for Wal-Mart.  Was suppose to be an 9 hour job.  9am to 6pm,  (at least until the order was finished.)  There were 4 orders.   1 to their Cornwall warehouse, the second was to their calgary warehouse, a third to their mississauga.  The forth one I wasn’t sure where it’s going, but that doesn’t matter.

What matters is, the quantity about the order, which was nearly impossible to do in the time alloted..  8 53″ frighters of orders were given on Friday evening and is to be shipped out monday morning..   8 frighters.. (the longest type as well), we’re talking about nearly 200+ skids (if you dont know what a “skid” is, they are products that are placed in a platform which a pump truck or a fork lift can lift hundreds or thousands of pounds worth of products (usually around 40-50boxes))
7 people stuck labels on each box, 3(sometimes 4) people wrapped the skids, 2 (sometimes 3) people would be driving the fork lifts moving the box down from the shelves…

time we left was : 12:00am

so 15 hours worth of work. and only 3 of those hours are 1.5times rate >_<

so yeah, ALOT OF FUN .  wrapping skids involved us using plastic wrapping paper and running around the thing wrapping it to the top (these things pile up 11 boxes high, so its pretty damn high)  and we had to do this 200+ times divided by 3 which means 1 person did 66boxes..

so yeah, 15 hours of work…      lol

Orion

That’s the ship’s name in the wallpaper image I used…

Orion is the name John Sheppard gave to an Atlantis Warship…

anyway. Its pretty customized, except for the icons and cursors. I use konfabulator, which is quite cool actually, and played around with the widgets.. :) and Steph, the only reason why the uptime monitor shows 1 day 1 hour and 18 mins, its because of those windows updates, had to restart or else windows would keep annoying the hell outta you just bugging you to restart the computer.. lol

Desktop theme is a Vista replica, one of the themes that was removed on skin sites with the request from Microsoft. But I happened to have it downloaded it before it was removed… :p and as I already stated, the wallpaper is a stargate wallpaper of the Atlantis warship “Orion” the actual name is named after an ancient general which is a weird name.. :p

and yes, I use trillian!!. Basic tho, no need for Pro and I also use Windows Live Messenger.. :)

before I forget
